Welcome to Year 3!
Our class teacher is Miss Khatun.
We have all settled into Year 3 brilliantly and had lots of fun. There are many exciting themes planned throughout the year. We aim to develop resilient learners who embrace the challenges of Key Stage Two.
Our Writing lessons this year will be based on picture books and our Reading lessons will focus on fluency and reading gems. Our Maths will follow Mathshed with a heavy focus on times tables. Our learning units this year will take place in blocks. Please see the curriculum overview.
We will cover Stone Age, Plague, Rivers and Mountains, Iron Age to Romans, Mapping through main features in the UK.
This year:
PE will take place on a Monday
Music will take place on a Wednesday
Dance will take place on a Friday
Homework will be allocated via on a Friday Spelling Shed ready for the following Monday and will consist of times tables, spelling and learning unit activities.
Spelling tests will be weekly.

Year 3 need to be in full PE kit Mondays.
It is our intent for all of our children to gain confidence with their reading, whilst developing a love of books, so we ask that book bags are brought into school daily.
