Year 2 visit to the Chestnut Centre
In March, Year 2 went to the Chestnut Centre in Derbyshire. Here we experienced the day to day life of Owls and Otters. We learnt what they eat, their habitats and the things they like to do for fun! We had lots of fun with the guides who led us around the Santuary, teaching us lots of new and interesting facts. Year 2 even saw the giant otters being fed fish and watched them rip it apart with their huge teeth! We also learnt facts about other things that lived at the Sanctuary - like badgers , moles, wild cats, pine martins and deer. We even got to see our guides feeding the deer really close to us! As a class, we decided that our favourite animals were the cute, small otters.
We had a brilliant time and didn't want to come home!
